CHILTONVILLE CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH MISSIONS

Chiltonville Congregational Church is on a mission together.  We seek to live out Jesus’  ‘great co-mission’ in Matthew’s Gospel and the Book of Acts:

“Jesus told his disciples, ‘Go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. You will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywherein Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.  Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’  (Matthew 28: 18-19 and Acts 1:8)

Jesus instructed his first church to be his witnesses in their hometown (Jerusalem), their region (Judea), their neigbhoring country (Samaria) and to the ends of the earth (the entire world).  Today, Jesus gives us the same vision to be missionaries on our frontlines  (right where God places us in our ordinary moments of our every day lives) and that our frontlines must expand outward from our church, our families, and our everyday places to our community, our region, our country and the world as we support our missions and missionaries:
